Inflation has hit Stark County hard, especially at the grocery store. Many families are struggling to provide healthy and nutritious meals. There are several community food banks in the area to help with food assistance. Below is a list of food pantry resources for your family to receive help with food.

Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank offers pantry distributions all over Stark County. Visit their website for up-to-date distribution schedules. The Stark County campus is located at 1365 Cherry Avenue NE, Canton. Their phone number is (330) 535-6900.

Stark County Hunger Task Force

The Stark County Hunger Task Force operates the Community Campus Food Pantry out of the Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill. Recipients must obtain an appointment ticket to receive food. They are a choice pantry and provide 5-7 days’ worth of food at no cost. Recipients are permitted two visits per month. Visit their website for more information. The Salvation Army of Canton

Canton City Health Department

The Canton City Health Department offers the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program that give supplemental nutrition to qualifying women and children. The program is available to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women and to infants and children up to age five who are deemed to be at nutritional risk. The WIC clinic is located on the second floor of the Nursing Services Area of the Stark County Health Department at 7235 Whipple Avenue NW, North Canton. Team Jesus Church New Way Food Pantry

Team Jesus Church offers a food pantry every third Tuesday of the month from 5-7 PM with the doors opening at 4 PM. A photo ID is required. Prayer and ministry support is available, although it is not required to receive food. Recipient’s gross household income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. They also offer toiletries (when available), lay financial counseling, and referral services. More information is available on their website. Perry Helping Perry Food Pantry

The Perry Helping Perry food pantry is held at Trinity United Methodist Church every third Saturday of the month from 9 AM – 12 PM. Non-perishable food and toiletries are available. The Salvation Army of Massillon

Alliance Community Pantry

The Alliance Community Pantry allows clients to receive food every two weeks. You must meet the Federal and State Food income guidelines and register your household before receiving food.
